I absolutely love Jamie! She owns Swank Shindigs, a wedding and event planning service here in Tampa. I’ve been lucky enough to work with her in two of the weddings I photographed, and she’s just adorable and so friendly.
She recently redesigned her website, and I did her headshot:

Isn’t she beautiful? We had a lot of fun! She’s always sweet and funny, and I am not surprised that brides love her as much as I do – maybe more! She’s caring and thoughtful, and would really go the extra mile to make your wedding special. I’ve met a lot of great people through her, and I always look forward to working with her. Jamie has a lot of experience in event planning, and have organized a lot of weddings, receptions, and bridal showers. She also plans and services baby showers, birthday parties, holiday parties and corporate events. You can view a gallery of her works here and inquire about her services here.
She’s very thorough and organized – the perfect fairy godmother to make your dreams come true at the wedding! She will make sure that as a bride, your day will be as stress-free as possible. I have watched her work her magic and all I can say is: she’s fabulous.
Don’t forget to check out Eva + Bryan’s wedding and the teaser for Lindsey+ Ben’s wedding, where Jamie and I worked together

I met Laurie of A Piece of Cake at the Perfect Wedding Guide’s Bridal Show. She has great sense of humor and we just hit it off right from the start! She’s very nice and I loved hanging out with her. Her booth was incredible! It was packed! And she had the most delicious cakes.
A Piece of Cake offers a lot of variety from cakes to cupcakes, cookies, candies and other desserts. Laurie also offers edible favors and other confections. There are a lot of flavors to choose from, isn’t that fantastic? What I love about Laurie’s business is that she takes the time to sit with you and discuss your inspiration for the wedding. That way your cake will be a perfect fit to the motif and theme of your special day. She really takes care of her clients, and I just love that about her!
I saw Laurie again at the Perfect Wedding Guide’s luncheon and had another great time. And oh, did I mention – A Piece of Cake was the vendor for one of the weddings that I photographed last March:

(See Sarah + Josh’s wedding here!)
Everyday is an opportunity to have a sweet ending, is a phrase that greets you when you visit Laurie’s website. I’m inclined to believe that that’s true!
A Piece of Cake is located at 5915 Memorial Highway, Suite #L, Tampa, FL 33615.

Lindsey and Ben chose their ceremony and reception at the beautiful campus of University of Tampa. Here are just few of my favorites before and after the ceremony.

Last month I spent an afternoon volunteering at Brides Against Breast Cancer event. They had some amazing deals – $3,000 couture gowns for only $500! Now that’s a steal if ever I saw one. I saw a Reem Acra dress and I just about died.

Brides Against Breast Cancer organizes gown sales and gives brides the opportunity of finding their dream gown at an incredible price. These gowns are something that you wouldn’t normally be able to afford – and so I admire the support of designers, bridal shops, manufacturers and individuals who have donated the dresses, especially something as important as a bridal gown. The sales will benefit all men and women who are losing their fight against breast cancer.
Thank you to the brides who donated their dresses and the group of amazing women who were at the event! I encourage everyone who has the time (or the dress!) to help out and show your support to this wonderful organization.
