Lovely, Actually
It was the day before Christmas eve, and already you can feel that magic in the air, that sense of wonder and good that comes with the season. I am filled with so much joy at all the wonderful things that have happened to me this year, this family portrait session being one of them.
Kim wanted to have some portraits done as a gift to her family, especially now that the kin has gotten big, with her two brothers having families of their own and live states apart. The holiday season is the perfect opportunity for them to all get together and capture. It’s a big family – three generations to be exact. Everybody has their own quirks, but the real star and VIP is Kim’s dad, Casey. He is 82 years old and doesn’t look a day passed 70! Casey is very charming and energetic/very formidable and striking/very easy-going and lovely (just choose which one you like!).
Kim selected the University of Tampa for its gorgeous scenery. It’s exquisite here but I bet it will be stunning come spring in April (where I will be shooting a wedding!) I love all the arch doorways of the old buildings. There is just something so remarkable about it – how it stood the test of time but still remained well loved and cared for.
Kim, what a lovely gift you are giving to your loved ones! I hope it’s something you’ll treasure for years to come.

Little Darling
When Mary greeted me with hot tea and cookies at the door, I knew it was going to be an awesome portrait session! It felt like I stepped inside Santa’s world and got to work as his elf, making people smile and laugh
Mary and Wesley are very gracious and I really appreciated their kindness and cheerful spirit.
I couldn’t wait to photograph little Jasmine and her parents the moment I saw her at the UCH mommy support mini-shoot. She’s an adorable little thing, and will definitely get your attention from afar.
Jasmine is their first child and the family’s little darling! She was so beguiling and cute! It was something to treasure – all those unguarded moments – and I feel really happy to be able to capture the magic behind it.
